This is a nice, basic rice cooker. I've wanted to get a rice cooker for some time but debated what size and model to get. The size is perfect for one or two people, and the steamer addition allows you to prep veggies and other foods to complement your meal. I've been able to cook other grains and beans like quinoa and lentils, respectively, with great results. One word of advice: make sure to use the cooker in an open area to quickly clean up water splatters and to avoid steam from potentially damaging kitchen cabinets.

Does what it says it will do - cooks rice well. This is the third Aroma rice cooker I have owned. I gave two of them away to family who raved about how well it cooked. I find the cooker improves the more you use it, i.e. the first couple of batches of rice are cooked but not as well as later batches. It gets better with usage.

I love the convenience of this cooker but I find that it takes twice as much water as the instructions call for to obtain tender, fluffy rice. The first few times I used it I put the recommended amount of water in and found the rice would burn before the cycle was complete.
Other than that this is a handy little product.
